Oh shit. I could hardly believe it. Because it was her. The sweet brunette that I tasted that wintry night months ago. But now, six months have passed and I haven’t seen her since. So what the hell was she doing in this hotel room, an hour away from Midville?

Because I’m not just a cop. Sure, policing the streets is my calling and I went to the Academy and graduated with honors. But the thing is that policing isn’t enough for me anymore. Midville is a town of twenty thousand people, and there just isn’t much going on most days. So I cruise around a lot of the time, alone in my patrol car. There aren’t even many traffic violations because Midville citizens are law-abiding and god-fearing.

I’d been tempted to go by the house and break up the party, but the minute I saw the beautiful brunette, all thoughts of law and order left my mind. Because I only wanted her.

Soft and curvy, with big brown eyes and chestnut curls peeking out beneath her wool cap, I’d wanted her immediately. While her friend whimpered and cried, the brunette had kept her cool and asked to talk to me.
